Luckily the system does seem to dissipate all of the heat quickly. The fans run loud trying to keep everything cool while gaming, but is more than reasonable and I can have a TV on in the background. The MBP gets close to 90 degrees Celsius and gets hot. Sadly, I'm not as big of a PC/Mac gamer as I used to. Also noise is quite not ignorable level but does not get any louder than my C2D late 2006 MacBook. I have it on a DJ Laptop stand however, not on the table directly. How loud and warm does you MBP get? Mine usually hits the 90 deg.C mark with the CPU Sensor but outside it gets now more than hand warm.
If you like to work on that list, too I can add authors. The only issues I see is some graphical tearing (enabled vsync to counter it) and momentary hiccups when entering large rooms (probably fill rate issues from not having any high speed graphics memory). On you list I can confirm that Portal 2 plays well with HQ settings under OS X.
Sure the integrated graphics are not the greatest, but for playing Portal 2 and Star Trek Online (using Wine) they work well.
